A Queenstown martial art gym is hosting an open night to celebrate the work its athletes have done in recent weeks.

Fight Science NZ is hosting a Contender Kickboxing opening evening this Saturday from 5pm

"Get excited people!" the gym says on its Facebook page.

"Come and see The Contender K1 kickboxers throw down to celebrate the hard work they have put in over the last 10 weeks!⁠

"The open evening will have kickboxing, boxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, strength competitions, prize giveaways and special offers.⁠

"The Fit 'N' Fed food truck will be on hand with some food specials and its BYO beers!⁠

"$10 donation entry - the money raised will go to the development of the Fight Science martial arts teams."
