A lot of people are glad to have 2020 in the rear view mirror. It was certainly a testing year hat puts everyone's strength to the test.

New Zealand's Jay Jay "The Maori Kid" Wilson made the best of a bad year, and has been named the best Bellator fighter for 2020.

"2020 handed the world lemons yet I made it one of my best years yet," he says in a post on social media.

"Keeping my undefeated record with three fights this year I got awarded the best bellator fighter of 2020, I also achieved one of the biggest milestones in my life I received my black belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu.

"I got engaged to my beautiful fiancé @sunnyramerica.

"Here is to killing it in 2021!! Let’s work harder this year."
